Over 150 years of business, Carmeuse is a leading producer of limestone with a high content of calcium and dolomite crushed stone, limestone, and crushed aggregate products of limestone which are a vital part of major industries (steel production, energy sector, environmental protection and construction). The companies date back to the 1970s when they operated under the common name "Limestone Mine andLime Factory", and to this day they have gone through several organizational phases and changes in ownership structures. The real turning point in the business development of these companies happened in 2008 when the companies became an integral part of the Carmeuse Group, a world-famous and a recognized leader in the delivery of all types and products of lime and lime. Investments in the production capacities of both mines and factories are constantly ongoing, all with the aim of increasing the production of lime and limestone, in order to provide an adequate response to the expected market trends in the growth of lime and limestone consumption, which is fully in line with Carmeuse- with this ideology and strategic commitment to improve cooperation with industrial customers and increase the share of industrial consumption in total sales of lime and limestone. Thanks to these investments, both the "Carmeuse Lime Factory" and the Carmeuse Limestone Mine have strengthened their leading position in the production of lime and limestone in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and beyond, both in terms of capacity and technology. Today, both companies are of great importance at both the local and regional level, and as proof of the company's successful operations, "Carmeuse LimeFactory" in 2009 was awarded and recognized as the most successful"Joint Venture" in Bosnia and Herzegovina by FIPA. Special attention is paid to environmental protection and safety at work. We have adopted and applied European quality standards, and we have ISO 9001: 2008 and 14001: 2004certificates, which we are very proud of.
